The founder of Xysemi has been engaged in research on power device structures and processes for an extended period. In 2002, based on their device and process inventions at Bell Labs, they founded Enpirion in the United States. Enpirion introduced the world's first integrated inductor DC-DC chip in 2004, which received the EDN 2004 Global Power IC Best Product Award and numerous other international accolades. Enpirion was acquired by Altera in 2013.
